In November 2025 the Young Advisors group attended the Annual Safeguarding Meeting at Middle Engine Lane police station, where they delivered a presentation to senior leaders from across the North East. The presentation had a focus on the use of AI and its impact on young people, which is the young advisors key project currently.
What did they present?
The group were able to present their findings from a recent survey, carried out in 2024, asking young people about safety. 92% of 892 respondents said they had a social media account, as well as 67% taking their mobile phone to bed. They encouraged the senior leaders to spot the difference between real and AI images and how there can be positives and negatives to using the tool.
