Safer North Tyneside Community Safety Strategy

During the consultation on the draft Community Safety Strategy, residents and partners told us what matters most to them. You raised concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour, feeling safe in your neighbourhood and town centres, protecting vulnerable people, tackling domestic abuse and violence, and the importance of early help and prevention. You also told us that agencies need to work together better and communicate more clearly about what support is available.

Your feedback directly shaped the Safer North Tyneside Community Safety Partnership Strategy 2026–2030. The final strategy focuses on the priorities you told us were most important, including preventing crime and harm, supporting victims, protecting those most at risk, and working together to keep communities safe. It also strengthens partnership working and takes a more preventative, community‑focused approach, reflecting what you told us would make the biggest difference locally.
