We would welcome your views on the council's proposal to extend the Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) currently in place aimed at tackling problems in public places relating to irresponsible dog ownership and the irresponsible consumption of alcohol.
The PSPOs were introduced in October 2017 and have a legal lifespan of three years, with the last review being in 2023. So that controls remain in place, the council proposes to extend the PSPOs for a further three years from October 2026 until October 2029 but is undertaking this consultation to determine whether there are reasonable grounds for doing so.
Our information is available in alternative formats. If you need us to do anything differently to help you take part in this consultation, including providing the information in another format or language, please contact the Social Care Contact Centre on 0191 643 2777, or email: childrenandadultscontactcentre@northtyneside.gov.uk
