Applications to join the new Pride in Place Percy Main Neighbourhood Board are now live

We’re excited to announce the launch of a brand‑new Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board. Pride in Place is a 10-year investment programme that puts local people at the centre of decisions about their neighbourhood, and we’re inviting residents to apply to be part of the decision making board. This is a fantastic opportunity for people who care about their community to help shape how local funding are used. Members of the Neighbourhood Board will play a key role in overseeing decisions about community funding, setting priorities, and ensuring money is spent where it makes the biggest difference.

What the Neighbourhood Board Will Do

Board members will:

  • Live in the Pride in Place funded area
  • Care a lot about the Pride in Place funded area and want to make it a better place to live
  • Share their views and opinions on what the community wants and needs
  • Work well with people who have different views
  • Be trusted locally and will gain support from local people, even if this is your first role like this
  • Keep discussions respectful and constructive
  • Handle disagreement calmly and fairly
  • Respect others and make sure everyone is included
  • Have enough time to commit to the role

A new online application form is now available for residents who want to get involved. Board members will be appointed for an initial four-year period. We’re looking for people from all backgrounds, experiences, and parts of the community. You don’t need previous board experience — just a genuine interest in improving your neighbourhood.
