There is less than a week to go until our Local Plan Webinar
Next Wednesday (14 October 2026), the Council's Planning Team will host their Local Plan consultation webinar.
This webinar will give you an opportunity to hear directly from the team behind the Local Plan and understand how it could affect your community.
The Local Plan will play a key role in shaping how our borough develops in the years ahead, influencing future housing, employment opportunities, infrastructure, environmental protection and the preservation of North Tyneside's unique character.
During the webinar, the Council's Planning Policy Team will:
- Explain the final stage of consultation on the new Local Plan
- Outline the current draft Plan and its key proposals
- Share the changes made in response to feedback from previous consultations
- Explain how you can take part in this important final consultation before the Plan is submitted for independent examination
- Answer your questions live
