During September and October we asked for the views of residents to share their views on a proposal to trial communal area cleaning in all blocks managed by North Tyneside Council.
Residents are currently responsible for cleaning communal areas themselves, as outlined in the Tenancy Agreement, however we have had requests for the council to provide a cleaning service and were keen to explore this option further with residents.
All residents in communal blocks received a letter about the consultation and an invitation to take part in our survey. Initial results show that residents are in favour of a trial of a cleaning service and we are currently considering how that could be provided in terms of what it would cover and frequency. An update will be shared on this website when available.
If you haven't already done so, please register on this website (top of your screen) so we can keep in touch and let you know when there are other opportunities to have your say in future.
