We would like to ask for your views on a proposal to trial communal area cleaning in all blocks managed by North Tyneside Council.
Residents are currently responsible for cleaning communal areas themselves, as outlined in the Tenancy Agreement, however we have had requests for the council to provide a cleaning service and are keen to explore this option further with residents.
Feedback shows that while resident satisfaction with our communal areas is improving, it remains lower than we would like it to be and we want to improve this.
Regular cleaning in your building’s communal area would improve its appearance, as well as help keep the building in good overall condition by identifying any required repairs or maintenance issues at an early stage.
Please share your views via the short survey below, by Friday 31 October 2025.
