Date of consultation: 28 January to 28 February 2025
Number of responses:
48 surveys
Summary:
Thank you to all those that took part in this important consultation we are analysing the results and the outcomes will be put on the You Said We Did Hub.

The Council has had few cases where adults with care and support needs have died, and after their death it has come to light that they may have been experiencing exploitation in the community, cuckooing/home takeover. Within these cases, it was quite likely that neighbours and the wider community witnessed things and may have had concerns.

The purpose of this consultation is to explore how aware residents are of adult safeguarding; where to report concerns; and to explore what barriers there might be to reporting concerns.

Safeguarding means to live free from harm, abuse and neglect. It is about protecting people’s health and wellbeing, and their right to safety, respect and dignity.
