What is the young people's transport and safety survey?
The survey is a way for young people to get their voices heard, following the Young Mayor's pledge to improve public transport in North Tyneside. Malcolm's aim is to speak to young people finding out about cleanliness and safety around the buses and metros within the borough. This is also in support of Hugo Ni's pledge, our Member of Youth Parliament (MYP), who is looking at safety in the borough.
Why are we doing this?
The Young Mayor, Malcolm Jackson, and Hugo Ni, MYP, were elected in March 2026 and is a representative of young people across the borough. By completing this survey with their task force members, Edison, Harlea, Chloe, Charlie and Jess, data will be gathered and presented to senior leaders.
Who can take part?
We are encouraging young people aged 18 and under to take part in the survey below or come and chat to us! We will be at numerous family fun days across the summer holidays. Dates to these events can be found on this page.
