What is the proposed vision and objectives for North Tyneside’s future?

By 2042 the Local Plan will have helped North Tyneside be a place that can support better lives for all where inequalities, especially those impacting the health and wellbeing of residents, have been addressed, and the Borough:

  • is a happy and healthy place for residents to live with housing and neighbourhoods that enhance lives
  • is safe, and has access to green spaces and has places for wildlife

  • provides everyone with good schools, quality and affordable homes and job opportunities supporting good work and economic growth

  • is helping to reduce the impacts of climate change, and where the air and water is clean
