Housing and Property Services Draft Aids and Adaptations Policy

This draft policy seeks to help council tenants and permanent members of their household to remain safe and independent in their home for as long as possible. It sets out how requests for aids and adaptations will be responded to and managed by the Housing and Property Services in order to help tenants and household members to:

  • live independently in their home with privacy and dignity
  • live independently and comfortably in their home for as long as possible or, if this is not possible or practical, to get help to find a suitable alternative property
  • know about all of the options open to them when using our aids and adaptations service.

We want to know if the draft policy is easy to understand or if there is anything missing from it.

Please let us know by completing this anonymous survey. All responses will be dealt with in accordance with our privacy statement which can be found here
