Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service is developing a new Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP), which will help shape how they keep people safe over the coming years. The plan focuses on four key priorities:
Prevention - helping to stop fires and other emergencies before they happen through education, advice and support.
Protection - working with businesses and building owners to improve fire safety and reduce risks.
Response & Resilience - ensuring firefighters, fire appliances and equipment are ready to respond when emergencies happen.
People - supporting staff, promoting wellbeing, and creating a positive and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
They want to hear from people across Tyne and Wear about what matters most to them. Your feedback will help them make informed decisions and ensure their services continue to meet the needs of local communities.
The public consultation will run until Friday 4 December 2026, giving everyone the opportunity to share their views and help shape the future of their Fire and Rescue Service.
Why Your Views Matter
They want their services to reflect the needs and expectations of the people they serve. By taking part in the consultation, you can tell them what matters to you and help influence their plans for the future.
They welcome feedback from residents, businesses, community groups and anyone with an interest in the services they provide.
