During the consultation drop-in, for the Ambitions for the North West, at Festival Cottages Burradon residents said they would like to see improvements to their park.
At the end of February, small sections of existing planting in the Millenium Park were cut back and sections of shrubs have been removed. This work is to allow for more diverse species of plants to support the local ecology whilst also increasing visibility into the Green from the adjacent waggonway, in an effort to reduce anti-social behaviour.
The site will be further refreshed/landscaped in April.
