Here to help

Our Housing and Property Service teams were out-and-about during July to offer advice and answer any questions about repairs, keeping neighbourhoods clean and safe, help and support to pay your rent, allocations and Homefinder. Twenty-four tenants came to see us at North Shields Community Hub and Library, Family Gateway at Howdon and The Oxford Centre in Longbenton.

Ten previous tenant drop-ins during 2025-26 were held at venues in Longbenton, Meadow Well, Howdon, Battle Hill, Dudley, Shiremoor, Wallsend and Killingworth. A total of 143 tenants got advice and had their questions answered, and feedback from those who came along was very positive.

You can also contact the Housing and Property Service on 0345 2000 102 if you have any queries or need advice.

Register on this website (from the menu at the top right of your screen) and we'll let you know in advance of upcoming events and keep in touch with other opportunities to have your say.

Future tenant drop-ins will also be promoted in the council magazine and on our social media (@NTCouncilTeam).
