We'll promote these drop-ins on North Tyneside Council's social media (@NTCouncilTeam), on this website and via the council magazine. Or, you can register on this website (from the menu at the top right of your screen) and we'll email you details in advance, and also keep in touch with other opportunities to have your say.
Our first tenant drop-in of 2026 was at Cedarwood, North Shields, on Wednesday 18 February. We were delighted that 19 tenants came along for advice. Questions were on a wide range of subjects, including Homefinder, gardens, damp and mould, repairs and finance. Our waste and recycling team came along too with information about the forthcoming food waste collections and what can and can't be recycled in your household bins.
Nine tenant drop-ins were held during 2025, at venues in Longbenton, Meadow Well, Howdon, Battle Hill, Dudley, Shiremoor, Wallsend and Killingworth. A total of 124 tenants got advice and had their questions answered, and feedback from those who came along was very positive.
Our Housing and Property Service teams will be out-and-about during July to offer advice and answer any questions from council tenants.
Come and talk to us about repairs, keeping neighbourhoods clean and safe, allocations and Homefinder. No appointment needed, just drop by:
Saturday 11 July, 10am-12pm: North Shields Community Hub and Library, Northumberland Square, NE30 1QU
Tuesday 14 July, 10.30am-1pm: Oxford Centre, West Farm Avenue, Longbenton, NE12 8LT
