Come for a chat!

Teams from our Housing and Property Service host informal drop-in sessions where you can pop along without an appointment for advice and to have your questions answered about:

  • Repairs
  • Homefinder and housing allocations
  • Keeping neighbourhoods clean and safe
  • Tenancy and financial support
  • Waste and recycling

Our next one is at:

Cedarwood, Avon Avenue, North Shields, NE29 7QT

Wednesday 18 February, 12 noon - 2.30pm

If you'd like to suggest a venue that you think would be suitable for us to visit, please email engagement@northtyneside.gov.uk

Nine drop-ins were held during 2025, at venues in Longbenton, Meadow Well, Howdon, Battle Hill, Dudley, Shiremoor, Wallsend and Killingworth. A total of 124 tenants got advice and had their questions answered, and feedback from those who came along was very positive.

Our neighbourhood housing officers also have a programme of regular visits to some of our libraries where you can drop by for a chat, no appointment needed. You can find their programme here: Library timetable
