Big Community Conversation

Big Community Conversation 2025

Thank you to everyone who took part in North Tyneside’s biggest-ever community conversation. Your feedback is shaping the future of our Borough.

What We Heard

What people love:

    • Our beautiful coast and beaches
    • Strong community spirit
    • Green spaces and parks
    • Accessible transport and local shops

What people want to improve:

    • Clean, well-maintained neighbourhoods
    • Safe streets and more visible policing
    • Better roads and pavements
    • More activities for children and young people
    • Improved facilities in parks and open spaces

How Your Voice Is Making a Difference

  • The findings are directly informing the new Council Plan for 2025–2029.
  • Partners (NHS, Police, Schools, Voluntary Sector) are working together on shared priorities—cleaner streets, safer communities, better youth provision, and improved health and wellbeing.
  • Targeted improvements are planned for accessibility, anti-social behaviour, and support for families and older people.

What Happens Next

  • The Council and partners are committed to acting on your feedback.
  • Progress will be monitored and reported back to the community.
  • There will be ongoing opportunities for you to get involved and help shape future plans.
