Thank you everyone who took part in our annual Big Community Conversation survey during summer 2023. We offered residents the opportunity to share their views about how informed they felt about council services and what they wanted to know more about. There was an online questionnaire and our Engagement Team went out and about talking to residents at 52 activities, events and venues across the borough.
In total, 927 survey responses were received, with 33% of people saying they felt ‘informed’ by the council and 49% feeling ‘a little informed’.
The top subjects people wanted to know more about were:
Environmental issues
Regeneration
News and events
Roads, parking and transport
Rubbish and recycling
Findings from the survey have been shared with council services to make sure that all feedback and views are considered.
News updates from the council are shared every day on Facebook, X and Instagram (@NTCouncilTeam or click the links at the very bottom of this web page). The council magazine, 'Our North Tyneside', is delivered to homes three times a year and includes lots of information, news and updates; and there is also a monthly e-newsletter version you can subscribe to here.
