Background to the plans for Killingworth lakeside park

Consultation around the Ambitions for North West Plan started in July 2024 and this can be found in Past Projects.

The consultation resulted in a report where you can find out what residents told us they would like to see.

These ideas were developed into a series of plans for the North West of North Tyneside and one of these is about Killingworth Lakeside Park.

Since then work has started on removing diseased trees and planting new ones and you can see how we involved local school children in this.

Since this time the Regeneration Service has been working up detailed plans for the park and this is what we are now consulting on.
